Rule 1 Start planning!!!

Write down what you want to achieve and when you want to achieve this by. The date should be a Calender event ie your birthday, Christmas day, your wedding whatever it is it needs to be set in concrete.

Write down when you are available to train in the mornings, at lunch or evenings.

Fact: For the greatest plan to work it, an even greater action is required.

Rule 2 Light Cardio!!!

Begin with light cardiovascular exercises to get your heart going. Walking, jogging, swimming and cycling are great exercises to get you started.

The first week you should aim for 3 to 5 light 30min cardio sessions.

Fact: 30 minutes of Cardio training in the morning can speed up your problem solving ability throughout the day by up to 20% on average.

Rule 3 Eat!!!

A healthy lifestyle combines exercise and good eating.

Breakfast:      Is important because it will give you the energy to get through the day. Breakfast also provides the fuel for the mind to think and body to train.

Brunch:          A simple snack like a piece of fruit will help keep the metabolism up and assist you preventing the 2-3pm energy crash.

Lunch:            A lighter lunch is always better then a bigger lunch. This is because when you eat larger meals it requires more energy to digest the food. Leaving you feeling slow and tired in the afternoon.

Afternoon:   Another piece of fruit or light snack will assist maintaining a steady energy level for the rest of the day.

Dinner:          Smaller balanced portions are essential to a healthy lifestyle. A light meal at dinner will help you sleep better at night.

Fact : Most of us eat when we should be having a glass of water. We struggle to distinguish what our body is craving so next time have a glass of water and wait 10mins!!

Rule 4 Stick with it and Reward yourself

What you need to understand is that if you are only going to try this for a day or a week, then stop now. This requires three key elements to work Commitment, Persistence and Hard Work.

This is a lifestyle not a moment in life. Stick with it and reward yourself along the way. You will see amazing rewards, like increased energy levels, decreased health problems, and a trim and toned figure are just to name a few. But the rewards I am talking about are for your training efforts. Go and get a massage, a facial, a new suit whatever it is plan ahead so when you reach your goal you can treat yourself.
